Asia Pacific Industries Ltd has decided to invest Rs 1,000 crore in Coorg to boost tourism. A mini-hydel project will be started by the company in the district assuring no harm to the environment and wildlife. The state government has also given a green signal for these projects which will be implemented soon.
Homestays and food processing units are also on the project’s pipeline. These projects are also aimed at creating employment opportunities in the district.
